अगर एक गाल पे कोई तमाचा मारे तो.......
22nd April 2025 - It was morning & tourists had assembled at a ground which was popularly known as the 'Switzerland of India'. The sun greeted all of them in the wee hours. The place was abuzz with activities. There were families, newly wedded couples on honeymoon and the ground was filled with people from all over the India. There were few who were enjoying 'pony' rides, few were trekking, some were gearing up to use 'zipline' & many were enjoyig the food at the stalls.
The infrastructure including the shops, ziplines, ponies etc were being run by the locals of Kashmir who had in recent past seen growth in their personal wealth due to steady influx of tourists which meant great for the business. Scrapping of Article 370 was a leading factor to increasing faith in rest of India about improved conditions in terms of safety which encouraged one and all to make Kashmir again a preferred destination. A 3 star hotel was charging like a 5 star accommodation.
Peace in Kashmir and forgetting the past by kashmiris was not acceptable to a section of people especially 'Pakistan administration' as they had worked for so many years at destabilising the state.
22 April - Amidst the happy scenes at Pahalgam, there were few gunmen spotted in combat dress. At first many tourists thought that they may be Indian Army personnel but to their horror which they soon realised that they were terrorists. At point blank ranges , the terrorists killed in cold blood - Indians.
There are few actions of theirs which made this a deplorable act:-
They hit unarmed innocents at point blank range.
They killed only after establishing the religious identity of civilians i.e HINDUS were targeted.
They killed males deliberately in front of ladies, children to create terror and leave behind a message of 'religious fundamentalism'.
We as Indians must remember that this was not an isolated incident, the Pakistani backed terrorists had done similiar attacks killing Kashmiir Pandits in same barbaric fashion in the 1990's . Indians responded in a very strict fashion - 'we stopped playing cricket with them'(funny but true). Pakistan has long assumed that they would do anything to India and worst case scenario, India will cry out for western nations help . Then there will be a committee constituted to investigate and finally life moves on.
This reminds me of what Gandhiji once advocated
यदि कोई तुम्हें थप्पड़ मारे तो अपना दूसरा गाल आगे कर दो
But India has changed now since 2014 with the change in political leadership and the will that is the need of the hour which is 'Nationalism'. Post that year, we have demonstrated that we are a peace loving nation but if our sovereignty is threatened , we will not respond in kind but respond with fury. We will not stop at not playing cricket , if it is our blood that has been split, we will spill an equal amount of blood of the perperators.

One of the terrorists had killed a person in his forties , when his wife pleaded to the terrorist to kill her as well. She was told ' you are being left alive to tell Modi of this'. The whole world awakened to dastardly pictures of newly wedded wife crying over her dead husband's body. It was a pure massacre in cold blood. The whole nation boiled and what did Pakistan do, they could not even properly condemn the event. They went straight to tell the world that it is India's internal problems which has caused this event to occur. Such an insensitive bunch of administration bereft of all humanity.
Initially it was a feeling of helplessness especially when Pakistan sabotaged and succeeded in managing to stop getting 'TRF' -terrorist group named in the UN declaration. It was pure travesty of justice where whole world just played along to the rules. India was quite , waiting but not forgotten anything.
The ladies who lost thier life partners just because they were Hindus appealed avenging their 'Sindoor'....
Night of 7-8 May को मोदी ने बता दिया
The silence was broken with 11 places hit deep into Pakistan that housed terrorist camps & this time Pakistan woke up in fear . The same way as Indians had felt but this time in guilt , with their idiotic air of supremacy broken and the realisation struck all over that 'रण चण्डी' has awakened and if stroked further , will burn the complete nation which has been a terror supporter.
Pakistan being Pakistan- had to strike back because it has this image in front of its citizens that they are never in wrong and there is no terrorism being funded by the and infact they are themselves victims of terrorism. However when grilled as to why 'Osama Bin Laden' was found in their backyard, they go in an uncanny state.
I am not going in details of the military assessment of the Operation Sindoor except that it met its objective. But my idea of capturing this was to tell my readers & friends that it is now an era of pride I feel as someone who has donned uniform in past and now a veteran that I AM SO PROUD of my armed forces, government response and my fellow citizens.
Just look at the way Indian defence forces officers conducted press briefings vis-a-vis their counterparts. See the strength of Indian satellite imagery , our firepower and that too indigenous and the mettle of our boys.
Salute to the spirit of Indian Armed Forces & Salute to the fallen & Salute to the brave relatives who lost their kin but were courageous to come and tell Pakistan- "छोड़ेंगे नहीं, चुन चुन के मारेंगे '। यह माँ काली का देश हे -अगर एक ऑंख उठी माँ भारती पे हम cricket खेलना नहीं छोड़ेंगे पर अब तांडव मचा देंगे। DO NOT MESS WITH US.....
